Manchester United wants a deadly striker

brasilxargentina_299862

Manchester United have been alerted to the news that Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano has claimed he will be sold this summer. The Brazilian forward says his sale is likely as his contract runs out next year and he has no intention of renewing, so Sevilla will be forced to cash-in now or loose him for nothing in a years time.

The prolific hitman has been linked with both Chelsea and Manchester United recently, and was quoted as saying being linked to United was an honour and he would be keen on a move to Old Trafford. However, Fabiano has also been linked with moves to Manchester City and Spurs as well as Inter Milan, Juventus and AC Milan on the continent, so he would have no shortage of offers should Sevilla decide to sell. When asked about his future, Fabiano said:

"My departure is very likely, my contract will expire next year and I'm not going to renew."

"I think that Sevilla will try to sell me this summer,"

Fabiano has scored 62 goals in 128 league games for Sevilla, while his international record is even more impressive with 25 goals in just 36 games for Brazil and is expected to be a star performer in this summers World Cup. With only a year remaining on his current contract, bothCarlo Ancelotti and Sir Alex Ferguson may feel he represents good value for money as he would be available for around £15m, a relatively low fee compared to his true market value.
