Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed Wayne Rooney and Patrice Evra should both be fit for Manchester United's Premier League title showdown with Chelsea at Old Trafford.
Rooney missed training on Tuesday after reporting for duty with a tight hamstring and was not named on the bench for last night's 4-1 Champions League semi-final win over Schalke.
Evra was introduced as a second-half substitute but took a knock that at one point looked set to warrant Ferguson making another change.
However, the full-back quickly recovered and Ferguson revealed Rooney's absence was purely precautionary.
'Patrice got a kick.
'I was ready to substitute him but he said he was OK.
'Wayne will be all right. I wasn't prepared to take a risk.'
